Boone Wedding in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Deon and Ron reached out to me after a mutual friend informed them of my work. We set up a consultation over the phone since I resided in California and they were in Oklahoma. This is a process I do for all of my potential clients out of state or country. Sometimes we even FaceTime which I love!

After we spoke for about an hour, it was clear that we BOTH were very excited for me to be their wedding photographer! Their wedding was in April 2019, which was a VERY busy month for me with weddings already so them putting down their deposit back in September 2018 was perfect to guarantee their date!

April 13th, 2019 was finally here and the festivities began with the girls getting ready. There was food, drinks and music as everyone celebrated the beginning of Deon’s wedding day! Deon’s wedding dress was discovered through Prescott Bridal in Edmond Oklahoma and it fit Deon like a glove! I couldn’t help but to tear up a little bit when I first saw her in it. It was stunning!

Owner Eeba Kay is the owner of Mane Tamed Studio in Houston Texas and created the lovely hair styles for the Bride and Bridesmaids. She has over 12,000 followers on Instagram and when you check out her work you will see why. So go check her out! @getmanetamed. The Bridesmaids beautiful burgundy dresses were purchased from none other that David’s Bridals. The Bride and bridesmaids flawless makeup was done by the talented Jonita Dolton of Jah Woo Beauty Services. Check out her Instagram as well! @jah_woo

The guys made sure to show up and show out themselves! They were dressed in Men’s Warehouse from head to toe. Ron, the Groom, wanted to look his best for his Bride so he made sure to hire barber James Morbley @bestcutsinokc who owns his own shop at 6100 N Brookline Ave in Oklahoma City to give him a fresh look and cut.

Together, this wedding party was insane! But in a good way! lol The photos captured their craziness and larger than life personalities and it was no surprise to me why Deon and Ron chose them to share their special day with.

The wedding was held in downtown Oklahoma City at the newly renovated Sheraton Hotel on Broadway Ave. It was beautiful and full of hard work as the Bride and her close friend Tracey Patterson worked months on getting all the décor and timeline of events down. ANY decoration that you see in the photos of this blog was HANDMADE and designed by them! How amazing is that?! Yes that’s right…the flowers, the centerpieces, the table settings, the photo booth backdrop, etc was all done by Deon and Tracey!

Although an unexpected rain storm kept us from taking scheduled photos outside in the gardens, I didn’t let that stop us from capturing the group and portrait photos inside the beautiful grounds of the Sheraton’s lobby and hotel.

The reception was non stop dancing and laughs! I don’t even really want to call it a reception because it was a straight up PARRRTTTAAAYYYYY! The music was provided by DJ Hoove McCoy of Smoove Hoove and it did not disappoint. All wedding guests, no matter the age, were non stop movin’ and groovin’ to the jams the DJ was playing. To put it simple…..guests left with happy souls and sore feet!

I wish I could re live this day and I was just the photographer! lol But seriously, the energy of everyone involved was amazing and the hard work that was put into it did not go unseen! I feel honored that I was able to capture these photos for them to cherish for many, many generations and hope they are able to re live their special day when looking at them as that is my goal with each and every client. It is also one of my goals for us to become friends and I truly feel that is the case with Deon and Ron. They are amazing individuals inside and out and I couldn't be more happy to call them my friends.
