Graduation Photos...A Perfect Way to Recap the Year!

I consider myself to mainly be a Wedding, Couple and Boudoir Photographer but that doesn’t mean I don’t take photos of other events and memories such as Maternity, Cake Smash, Family or Graduation pictures.

And since Graduation for both High School and College are throughout this month, I wanted to write a blog showcasing some of the Graduation photos I have taken as well as some back stories of the beautiful graduates!

I have known Victoria’s momma Karrie L. James for almost 10 years (so crazy!) and the first time I “saw” Tori Wagoner was in a picture of her as a kid that sat on her mommas desk at work. Almost a decade later, I am the one HONORED with being hired to capture her college graduation photos from University of Central Oklahoma! We started by doing some photos on UCO Campus with two different outfit changes. The campus grounds has so many beautiful areas and it was perfect since Victoria spent the last 4 years here!

She is graduating with a dual degree in Sociology with a Minor in Substance Abuse & Forensic Science with a Minor in Criminal Justice. She recently accepted an exciting new job in Austin, Texas and will be attending University of Texas for her Master’s Program.

We then headed down to Downtown Oklahoma City with more of a typical, relaxed, college attire. We chose Myriad Botanical Gardens specifically for our location because it showcased so many amazing aspects of downtown and gave a different feel from the first part of the shoot at the University.

I also wanted to share a High School graduation photoshoot I have done. Ashley has been one of my favorite graduation shoots to capture because I had honestly never met such a modest, beautiful, and determined high school senior such as her. True words spoken. The way she presented herself was sophisticated and so polite. Her family was at the shoot and in the short time frame of our shoot, I seriously could tell how amazing of a daughter, sister, and student she was. And look just how naturally beautiful she is?! Very thankful that her mom, Brandy, selected me as her Photographer as I know from her Facebook post looking for one, she had LOTS of choices!

She wanted a couple of different looks for her shoot and when I heard them I was ecstatic as a Photographer I have to admit! She wanted a glam look (shown directly below) , a “student” look (shown above) and a Snow White inspired look (shown last) ! I mean how awesome right? I loved bringing her vision to life by bringing in some props and choosing locations best fitting.

Ladies, I don’t “wish” you anything because wishing are just words without effort. What I do give are words of encouragement to NEVER STOP working on your goals in your life, career, and family. NEVER let someone tell you that you can’t do something. NEVER see failure as the time to quit but instead the time to keep it moving forward and pushing harder!

Thank you for allowing me to capture such an important and celebratory time in your life. It’s something I hold close to my heart for many reasons.

If you know anyone looking for a #graduationphotoshoot, please let them know about Memories Exposed Photography as I would love to capture these amazing memories for them!
